About
Safe Parents South Africa is a non-profit company dedicated to advocating for a fair, safe, and supportive family law system that upholds the rights of parents and children alike. We strive to promote equality, end gender-based violence within family structures, and advance policies that prioritise the welfare of children in all legal proceedings. Through education, advocacy, lobbying for legislative reform, and empowering survivors, we aim to create a society where every family can thrive in safety and respect.
Our work centres on five key pillars:
01
Advocacy and Law Reform
We actively collaborate with policymakers, legal professionals, and like-minded organisations to advocate for policy changes that protect vulnerable individuals, ensure family law practices are fair, inclusive, and promote children’s best interests.
02
Education and Awareness
We develop resources and public awareness campaigns to equip families, legal practitioners, and the community with an understanding of abuse, divorce, and child welfare issues in family law contexts.
03
Support and Empowerment
Safe Parents South Africa supports survivors of domestic violence and parents seeking fair and safe family court outcomes, providing tools and knowledge to navigate the system and advocate for their rights
04
Accountability and Transparency
We conduct and support research on family law and domestic violence, using data-driven insights to guide reforms and inform society of the system’s impact on families.
05
Research and Policy Development
We promote integrity within the family court system, advocating for better reporting, accountability, and transparency to ensure justice and fairness for all.

We believe in a world where every child can grow up in a safe and nurturing environment, free from violence and fear.
Our Mission
At Safe Parents South Africa, our mission is to advocate for the rights of children and survivors of domestic violence. We work towards creating a society where every individual feels empowered to report abuse and seek justice.

Our Vision
Our vision is to drive meaningful legislative changes that prioritise the safety and well-being of children and families. We envision a future where the legal system is more accountable and transparent, ensuring that survivors of domestic violence receive the support and protection they deserve.
